Statement referred to in reply to Parts (a),(b),(c)&(d) of the Lok Sabha Starred Question No. 444 for 10.12.2010 regarding Renewable Energy Systems
(a)&(b): Yes, Madam. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is implementing a Scheme on demonstration of renewable energy systems/devices at places of national and international importance including heritage sites. So far 37 projects have been supported in various States by the Ministry under the scheme. The State wise details is given at annexure.
(c): Solar energy systems have been installed at Saifi Villa at Dandi Memorial, Gujarat, Raj Bhawan and State Assembly in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Safdarjung Tomb and Jantar Mantar in Delhi and at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Katra , Jammu & Kashmir.
(d): The Ministry has released Central Financial Assistance of ` 5.97 Crs. so far for these projects.
