(a) the details of National Handloom Expos organised during each of the last three years and the current year;
(b) the quantum of handloom products sold in such National Handloom Expos during the said period;
(c) whether complaints have been received about the sale of powerloom and machine oriented textile products also in such National Handloom Expos;
(d) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto;
(e) whether the handloom weavers are accorded similar benefits as available to powerloom weavers; and
(f) if so, the details thereof? |

(a) & (b) The details of number of National Handloom Expos organized during each of the last three years and the current year are as follows:

# Normally the proposals of National Handloom Expos are received from the State Governments/Handloom agencies and after receipt of the same only these are sanctioned for release of assistance. For the current year no proposal has been received so far.

(f) For the comprehensive and holistic development of handloom sector and handloom weavers, Government of India has been implementing the following five schemes:
1 Integrated Handlooms Development Scheme.
2 Marketing & Export Promotion Scheme.
3 Handloom Weavers’ Comprehensive Welfare Scheme.
4 Mill Gate Price Scheme.
5 Diversified Handloom Development Scheme. |
