(a) whether deaths of deers have been reported due to recent squall in Rajasthan;  (b) if so, the details thereof; and  (c) the details of the measures being taken by the Government to save the life of the deers? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) FOR ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS (SHRI JAIRAM RAMESH)  (a) & (b) The State Government has reported deaths of 83 deer in Churu District and 26 deer in Barmer District of Rajasthan due to squall that occurred during June 2010.  (c) Following measures are being taken by the Government to save the life of deer:  1. Adequate veterinary care provided to injured deer.  2. Adequate fodder and drinking water are being provided for the deer at appropriate places.
